8 January 2023: Yukta Sadhana: Collaboration in Diversity
Pratichi (India) Trust, in collaboration with the ‘Know Your Neighbour’ initiative of the SNAP, sought to revisit the idea of working together, through a re-reading, by Shri Biswajit Ray of Visva Bharati University, of the selected excerpts from the widely acclaimed book by Kshitimohon Sen entitled ‘ Bharate Hindu-Musalmaner Yukta Sadhana’. This was followed by a conversation between Professor Amartya Sen and sections of the public, including in particular young students from schools and colleges present at the meeting. The discussion centred around social, cultural, and religious diversity in the country and on plurality of political ideas. The meeting was held at ASRC,
