30 June 2022: Inauguration of Amartya Sen Research Centre
The inauguration programme brought together distinguished scholars as well as practitioners in the field of school education. A panel discussion was organized focusing on the theme of ‘Back to School’. The panel speakers- Professors Amartya Sen, Anita Rampal, A K Sivakumar, Jean Dreze and K Srinath Reddy (virtual) articulated their shared concern about the harm that has been caused by pandemic-triggered school closures in jeopardizing the educational fortune of a large section of our children, especially those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
